summer ART 2021
We LOVE Summer Art and we’re so excited to do it with you at the studio or at home! This summer we’re happy to offer an OUTSIDE ART experience under our ART tent! Each week will bring new and exciting ART projects, colorful materials and fun techniques.
IN-PERSON Summer Art will run in the mornings 9:30-12 noon or in the afternoon 1:00 – 3:30pm Monday to Thursday. Most of the morning sessions are sold out, email us if you’d like to be on the waitlist. For now we’re limiting the in-person CLASS SIZE to 12. Hopefully this will change and we’ll notify you immediately of new availabilities when and if it does. All safety protocols will be in place and all Beehive ART stuff will be immunized.
This will be my 29th year of summer ART and we’re reaching for the moon and stars!

“These classes are a delight for adults and children alike. After distance learning, my kids are zoomed-out, zoom doom, done-with-zoom so I was a little nervous about a remote camp but this is wonderful! Kim has 26 years of experience and manages to make the remote class feel like the studio. It is the first zoom thing that has not felt like a chore and we look forward to the class as an anchor to our day. The kids really enjoyed the materials and building and were happily occupied for most of the morning playing and then the afternoon playing with what they had made. And I’ll admit that I spent most mornings crafting along with them and laughing at Marc’s songs as an added bonus. Highly recommend!”
“Summer Art is fantastic! Kim runs a very well organized and fun program. My boys LOVED all of the projects and enjoyed the freedom to work at their own pace throughout the day. They absolutely loved the virtual class where they learned of the days’ activities and could show off all they had done the day before. We will definitely sign up for more sessions!”
“I wanted to thank you for sparking creativity and engagement for my son through your virtual camps and classes. I’ve spent the last 20+ years of my career working at the intersection of education and innovation; most recently I was at Harvard University, where I oversaw all the University’s funding for innovative ideas that push the boundaries of teaching and learning. I’ve seen a huge range of curriculum and programs over the years and I wanted let you know that I think you’ve done everything right about the way that you’ve designed and delivered your new blended learning programs for kids. Your kits are set up perfectly for all kids to feel successful, your structure is just the right amount of screen time and at-home doing on your own, and you’ve done a fantastic job adding fun (we love Mark’s guitar!) and making it personal so that the class feels surprisingly intimate and special. Attending Beehive has been the most engaging activity we’ve done since COVID and it’s made me so happy to see my son so immersed in valuable learning again. Thank you for all of the imagination and cleverness that you two have put into your spectacular programs. It’s going to be a Beehive summer for us, for sure.”
